Summary

It is trimmed with a fancy plait just inside the brim and there is a garland of split straw cord and tassles around the crown. There is a band of macrame straw braid (possibly Swiss) with split straw decorations all around the brim edge. There is a string and metal thread braid inside the brim edge. The black elasticated tape is a later addition. Date uncertain. Could be Swiss. (female)
