Summary
Bonnet - Leghorn straw with inset at base of crown of coarse straw plait (possibly repair). Lining of stiffened cotton muslin to side of crown with cotton drawstring. Leghorn joined at centre-back of brim. Crown deepened with inset of straw plait. Edge of brim wired with heavy gauge wire thread -covered and bound with cream silk ribbon. Trimming of simple cream ribbon band with bow to right-hand side. Cf. Nancy Bradfield 'Costume in Detail' pg.110 (female)
