Summary
Dress petticoat - Made of turquoise-blue silk satin 457 mm (18 in) wide. Quilted with blue silk thread. Lined with glazed wool. Interlining blue dyed fleece. Hem and side slits faced blue ribbon. Cut with 6 panels. Narrow knife pleats pointing backwards from narrow centre-front panel to centre back. Faced with coarse braid. The irregular top edge of the silk fabric is mounted on turquoise glazed fine wool. Overall quilting with stylised flowers, zig-zags and scallops; wave border.
