Summary
One of a pair of shoes - Made from yellow silk brocade with a white kid rand and brown leather soles. They are lined with cream linen with a brown leather sock. They are decorated with yellow silk binding along the edges of the uppers, latchets , back and side seams. There are punch holes on the sole. 'JR' is written in ink on the reverse of the tongue. Natalie Rothstein has dated the silk 1740-1743. (female)
