Summary
Breeches - Part of waistcoat and breeches, front made of burgundy silk voided velvet. Stripes with small yellow spot. Back made of linen. Back unlined. Faced with pale green ribbed silk. Straight front line. Short skirt at back to overlap side vent. Moderately deep stand collar. Pockets with straight opening and curved, scalloped flaps. Back slightly shorter than foreparts. Overlapped centre vent. Fun and felt centre seam. Linen tapes attached to inside of side seams at waist. Come through to outside near centre. Embroidery as coat (SNO.TC.93.1). Borders embroidered with cream untwisted silk and past 'jewels' in satin, stem and knots. Design of flowers and leaves. Small, self-covered buttons, embroidered to match. 9 from below neck to point of divergence. 9 cut buttonholes.
