Summary
Mechanical wooden figure of a drummer wearing a bearskin, white trousers, red jacket, sword on left hip, and playing a drum. Head & bearskin plaster of paris. On a square wooden base with turning handle (not working). All on a slate tile. String inside to operate drum. In notebook no.5, page 40 (1340945.5) Charles Wade refers to: 'Nursery no.82 Drummer Boy in red Coat with white facings. White breeches. Crank to move arms.' Includes sketch with dimensions.
