Summary
Oil painting on board, A Stone Corridor, St Kitts by Charles Paget Wade (Shortlands, Bromley, Kent 1883 - Evesham, Worcestershire 1956), mongrammed, in blue, on left. 'SUPREMA. HAEC. MULTIS. FORSAN.TIBI written, in blue on the nearest lintel. Marked (verso): 'Inv. March 1910. S Kitts WI'. It shows a wide stone paved corridor, four steps to higher level then door and more steps. In the foreground on the left a robed figure is walking by and in the foreground right is a statue of Christ on the cross, hanging on the wall and below is a chest with books and manuscripts. Verso: on left (faint) AHM SHATHAM.
