Summary
Oil painting on board, Alconbury Abbey Courtyard by Charles Paget Wade (Shortlands, Bromley, Kent 1883 - Evesham, Worcestershire 1956), 1908. Marked - May 6/08. Alconbury Abbey. The scene shows a courtyard to sub-priors house, CPW: 4th oil colour. A view through doorway into a courtyard, set into iron grill above doorway is a plaque figure on horse with lance, '19 AD.08' above, 'S George' below. Stone tank on left, view through archway to shape stone tank in another courtyard.
