Summary description

Oil painting on panel, A Gentleman in Breeches, English School. A gentleman in breeches seated in a landscape with a black bird on a branch of the tree beside him on the right. A small crest of arms with soldiers either side a shield is inset in the bottom left hand corner next to a tree trunk.

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
