Summary
Copper timpani or kettledrum (one of a pair of Cavalry Timpani), 18th century. Six tensioning screws with wing nuts (one missing) . Two opposing handles for a strap. Four pairs of holes around base (for feet?) and a central hole.

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
