Double bass (3/4) Tarr, Manchester c.1850? Stamped 'Tarr' on back. Viol shaped, three strings. Scroll top. Tuning pegs on brass plate, with worm and cog tensioners. Displayed with bow 1335420. In notebook no.4, page 5 (1340945.4) Charles Wade refers to: 'Music Room 29. Double Bass 3 strings from Cheltenham Parish Church c.1780.'
