Summary
Glass barometer ('Barometre liegeois') English, 19th Century. Bulbous clear glass bottle, flat backed, with thin spout curving upwards and glass hanging loop. Operates via water in the glass, which rises in the spout for storm (low pressure), and lowers for fine weather (high pressure).

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
