Summary
A small red painted and parcel gilt folding table, Kashmir, circa 1900. The rectangular top decorated with two pairs of birds, a charm and a border of Greek keys above red friezes with gold dragons and patterns, and a polychrome carved frieze with flowers and charms. Standing on lattice supports decorated overall with flowers and carved charms at the lattice junctions. These lattice sides fold in underneath the table top. A paper label 'Made by A Peer Third Bridge, Shringagar, Kashmir, India' is now missing.
Provenance
Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
