Summary
Square piano dated 1789. Mahogany case. Made by George Garcka of Rathbone Place, London. (Worked in London 1783-1791). Acquired from Mrs Tudor-Perkins, 1991. Who related that the instrument had originally been acquired by her grandmother Eugenie Tudor when she lived in Surrey and had been loaned each year to be played at the Haslemere early music festival. It had been bought to A La Ronde by her mother, May Tudor. Ursula's mother, May bequeathed "my square piano made in 1789" to Ursula (evidence from her will)
