Summary
Oil painting on panel, Three Cupids at Play after Parmigianino (Parma 1503 – Casalmaggiore 1540). Three full-length winged cupids, two of them carrying the third, all naked, the one on the right with his back turned towards the spectator, the left with red and orange wings, the centre with scarlet wings and the one on the right with green wings. A quiver of arrows at the bottom right corner. Based on a composition by Parmigianino in turn inspired by a design by Michelangelo.
