Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Sir Anthony Cope (c.1496 - 1550/51), after Sir Anthony Van Dyck (Antwerp 1599 - London 1641), 17th century. A full- length portrait, in black doublet with slashed sleeves, breeches to match, and deep lace collar. Based on the portrait by Van Dyck of the 1st Earl of Carlisle (of which KNO.P.117 in Lady Betty's Sitting Room is a copy).

In the Billiard Room by 1817; accepted by HM Government in lieu of Inheritance Tax and allocated to the National Trust in 2012
