Caption

Portrait of William Robert Hole (1831 - 1903). His father William Hole of Stickwick bought the Parke Estate in 1825, demolished the house and built the present Georgian House (not open to the public) between 1827 and 1828. William Robert Hole was born at Parke and died in a riding accident in 1903. His son, Major William Gerald Hole (1881 - 1974) left the 239 acre property to the National Trust.
