Summary
A Charles II Style oak settle with spirally turned supports to back and legs, c.1900, but presumably made up of some older pieces. The borders are carved with ornaments.
Provenance
Knole and the majority of its furniture were accepted by HM Treasury in part payment of death duties and transferred to the National Trust in 1946.
