A large rectangular painting of Lionel and Alan Mander, the second and third sons of Theodore and Flora, seated on floor with a book on their knee. Lionel Henry (1888-1946) and Alan Jocelyn (1891-1968) were the younger sons of Theodore and Flora Mander and brothers of Sir Geoffrey Mander. They married the Princesses Pretiva and Sudhira, sisters of the Maharajah of Cooch Behar. Lionel became an actor, appearing in an early Hitchcock film The Pleasure Garden, and a writer: two of his plays were produced in London.
