Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Henry Le Mesurier (1746-1792) by John Opie RA (St Agnes 1761 – London 1807), circa 1790. A half-length portrait of Henry Le Mesurier, seated with elbows on arm rests, wearing a black jacket, waistcoat and necktie with white shirt. He was a member of an old Guernsey family who were ancestors of Flora Paint, Mrs Theodore Mander. His grandfather was Governor of Alderney.

Transferred to the National Trust on the death of Sir Geoffrey Le Mesurier Mander (1882-1962)
