Summary
Beaker-form vase, porcelain of trumpet shape, painted in opaque 'famille rose' palette colours with a lady, three children and a rabbit, the rim with a pink trellis pattern above a pale blue ruyi-pattern border, on an ormolu base (missing), made in Jingdzhen and decorated in Gaungzhou (Canton), China, circa 1735-40
Provenance
Possibly acquired by Commodore George Anson (1697 – 1762) during his circumnavigation of the globe in the HMS Centurion (1740 - 1744).
