Summary
Fragment - Ostrakon (fragment number 60) - a pot sherd bearing writing. Evidence suggests that these ostraka came from the island of Elephantine in the Nile, opposite Aswan near the southern border of Egypt. It is believed that William Bankes collected these ostraka during an expedition in 1818-1819 and that they were part of a larger collection that he shared with fellow explorer, Henry Salt.
