Summary
Oil painting on canvas (oval), Jacomo de Cachiopin (1575-1642) (after Van Dyck), probably by George Geldorp (Cologne c. 1595 – London c.1658), after Sir Anthony van Dyck. An oval, bust-length portrait, facing, head turned slightly to right, moustache and beard, wearing a black coat with a soft white linen collar. A copy from a three-quarter-length portrait now in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. Geldorp was a notorious copyist and pasticheur of Van Dyck.
