A three-quarter-length portrait, seated to the left on a voluted structure in a landscape; wearing a slashed brown doublet over a white shirt; in his right hand he holds a sheet of paper on which is a drawing of a woman's head.
In the collection of (Sir) Ralph Bankes at Gray's Inn in 1658/9 as '5. mr Wrays Picture of mr Lylly'; thence by descent, until bequeathed by Ralph Bankes, 1981
