A chinoiserie decorated black and gilt side table, Chinese Export, late 19th century. The rectangular top and shaped frieze raised on cabriole legs and claw and ball feet, decorated overall with stylised floral designs.
Recorded in 1944 Inventory as ‘A 3ft lac oblong table cabriole supports claw and ball feet' in Tapestry Drawing Room (Blue Drawing Room). Purchased by the National Trust from John George Herbert, 8th Earl of Powis and the Powis Estate Trustees in June 2010.
