Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Called A Hussar Gun Carriage in Battle, possibly British School, 19th century. Hussars did not have their own artillery. This is the Royal Horse Artillery of the late Napoleonic era (possibly at Waterloo) possibly retreating from a cavalry attack (we are grateful to Allan Wynne-Morgan for this information).
