Summary
Oil painting on canvas, King George IV (1762-1830) by Sir Thomas Lawrence, PRA (Bristol 1769 – London 1830) and Studio, circa 1814. A full-length portrait of the King wearing scarlet Field Marshal's uniform with his sword in his right hand and his hat in his left. He wears the stars of the Garter, the Bath and the St Epsrit and at his neck the Golden Fleece which he had been awarded in 1814. This is a studio version of 1814 portrait in Marquess of Londonderry's collection which was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1815 (65).
