Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Brigadier-General, the Hon. Thomas Paget (c. 1676 -1741), attributed to Charles Jervas (Dublin 1675 – London 1739). A three-quarter length portrait of Thomas Paget, as a young man, turned slightly to right, facing, in cuirass (a breast plate), red velvet coat, sword, his right hand holding tasselled waist sash and full-bottomed wig. He was Governor of Minorca and grandson of the 5th Baron Paget, and father of Caroline Paget, Lady Bayly.
