Summary
Needlework picture. A framed, oval embroidery (possibly by Betty Ratcliffe, c.1770) on a cream, silk satin weave ground, and depicting a flower spray tied by a ribbon within a circlet of stems and flowers. It is in a carved, giltwood frame (possibly by Thomas Fentham) with a leaf garland design, which is suspended from a ribbon bow.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
