Oil painting on oilboard, Cottages on a Roadside, possibly Philip Yorke II (1849-1922). View of a road winding up to right with cottages to left and right. Possibly Chilton Foliat, near Hungerford whichwas the parish of Reverend Thomas James Scott (d. 1907) who was the father of Louise Matilda Scott who married Philip Yorke II (1849 - 1922) in 1902.
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
