Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Jane Kinaston, Mrs Holland as a Girl, British (English) School, late 17th century. An oval framed portrait of a girl, the only daughter of William Kinaston, of Lee [Old Hall] (1630/1 - 1723) and Jane Kynaston of Ruyton, who also had three sons.[She is not the daughter of William Kinaston of Ruyton Hall, Salop and Margaret Holland (1778 -1848) of Teyrdam]. She is seen half-length to left, head facing, in a pale green loose gown over a white shift, and with a red mantle.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905 – 1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973
