A beech towel rail, or clothes airer, English, late 19th/early 20th century. Of three horizontal rails between simple uprights, each on a simple sledge with ogee-cutaway bottom edge.
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
