Fleece Inn Bretforton, Worcestershire
18th Century oak longcase clock, circa 1750, the hood with moulded architrave above a pierced border, the glazed door with half-turned columns, the spandrels of the brass dial applied with pierced foliage and putti in the manner of the apprentices of Tompion. The case was made for the clock but is of later date, probably when the chapter ring was engraved. The dial is not signed. The single hand, thirty hour movement has a posted frame.
