One of a set of eight panels of Brussels tapestry depicting scenes from the campaigns of Scipio Africanus (originally thought to be Old Testament scenes - Evelyn Duchess suggests the story of David). HHE/T/78c and f have makers' mark on lower edge. Mutius Scaveola in side borders. A battle scene, to left soldiers in boats; background, a fortified town being besieged (siege of Carthage?).
