Oil painting on canvas, Pigeonwick, Sun Lane (demolished 1926), near Gustard Wood, Hertfordshire, by Sir Johnston Forbes-Robertson (London 1853 - 1937), 1870. The house designed by Edward Godwin, 1868 (RIBA 12579) where Edward Henry Gordon Craig (1872 – 1966) according to his son Teddy [Edward Carrick (1905 - 1988)] was born. Note on back reads 'Where Miss Terry lived in 1870 until her return to stage. Property of E. Craig. Painted by J. Forbes. Ellen's two children were born here'. (See also painting NT/SMA/P/139).
