Portrait miniature, watercolour on ivory Miss Mabel Terry Lewis (Minnie Terry1872-1957), later Mrs Edmund Gwenn (1882-1964), aged five by Mabel Terry Lewis (fl.1887-1899). 1887. Oval. Head and shoulders portrait of a child, turned to the right, gazing at the spectator, wearing a white dress. Brown eyes, pink complexion, fair hair. Sky background. Provenance
Believed to have been owned by or given to Ellen Terry (1847-1928) or her daughter Edith Craig (1869-1947) and came to the National Trust in 1939 when Edith Craig transferred Smallhythe Place (including buildings, land and contents) to the Trust.
