This 19th century cane day bed accompanied Ellen Terry on all of her tours, and was usually kept in the dressing room. She travelled extensively throughout her theatrical career and even completed several successful tours of America.
Ellen Terry's travelling daybed. A 19th century cane day bed with a pine frame on six turned legs with a blue squab cushion. This day bed always accompanied Ellen Terry when she was on tour.
