Dunster Castle, Somerset
This collection has 3,262 items online
Set high on the Tor from which it takes its name, Dunster Castle has developed from a Norman fortress into a comfortable Victorian country house. Nationally important 17th century plaster ceilings and rare embossed leather hangings sit comfortably with a large collection of family portraits and furniture and fittings of mixed styles. The principal rooms, while grand in scale, are welcoming and the whole castle has a tranquil and comfortable atmosphere.
