Summary
An ebonized, parcel-gilt and japanned burr elm sewing or work table, French, circa 1900. Of kidney-shape, the hinged top and shelf stretcher decorated with Chinoiserie designs of vases, flowers, birds, a boat and a stork. The hinged top enclosing a well. On three stepped supports, and three cabriole legs. Ebonised and with parcel-gilt lines and highlights.
