Summary
Dish; Charger or basin with dentilated border and ornamented in case low relief with female figures in pairs spaced by urns. The well is domed up slightly from the booge (no channel) and ornamented in cast low relieve with four standing figures (one at least represetning an angel) alternating with the figures of two reclinign females and two seated males. A circular boss in the centre of the well depicts a female figure holding in her left hadn a round flagon and in her right a footed cup; round the rim of the boss or medallion, intersected by her head, is the word TEMPEANTEIA. (a paper label on thepiece is inscribed in longhand, 'Plat d'etain Francais/XVIe Siecle')
