Summary
Oil painting on canvas, The Tea Party by Albert Starling (fl.1878-1922), signed and dated: 1893. Three children holding a tea-party for their dolls. The children are Ruth, Claude and Dorothy Hardy in the garden of Jesus College. The girl on right is Ruth Hardy, the boy in the centre Claude Hardy and the other girl Dorothy Hardy. Claude was the grandfather of Mrs Brown (née Ballard) who has loaned the painting to the house.

On loan from Miss C. Ballard and Mr. G. Ballard and subsequently Mrs Brown (née Ballard), since 1974.
