Summary
Tinted oval studio photograph, half length, of a man and a woman sitting next to each other. The woman wears a bonnet and striped cloak, he wears a white tie with dark jacket and waistcoat. c.1860 In embossed folding maroon leatherette case fastened with two clasps, the interior of red/brown velvet, the photograph with gilt mount and metal surround. Photographer's name on back of case.
Provenance
Possibly a gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
