Oil painting on canvas, Juliana Pole -Carew, Lady Robartes (1812-1881) by George Richmond RA (Brompton 1809 – London 1896) signed and dated, lower right: GR 1876. A half-length portrait of the wife of the First Lord Robartes sitting in a chair looking to her right with her hands folded in her lap. She wears a dark dress with white frill at neck and frilled cuffs, and a white cap on hr head. In gilt frame decorated with flowers, fruit, birds and animals. A pair with NT 884894.

By descent, until given by Gerald, 7th Viscount Clifden (1883-1966), with the transfer of the house to the National Trust in 1953
