Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Harriet Sophia, Countess of Morley (1809 -1897) by Richard Buckner (Chichester 1812 – London 1883), 1843. A portrait of the daughter of Montagu Edmund Parker (1778 - 1831) of Whiteway, who married first William Coryton of Pentillie Castle, Cornwall and secondly in 1842, Edmund, 2nd Earl of Morley. The portrait was painted in Rome in 1843. She is standing in profile but facing, wearing a black dress but with a multi-coloured scarf around her waist. Her hair has been done into ringlets around her face.

Given to the National Trust as part of the endowment by Montagu Brownlow Parker, 5th Earl of Morley (1878-1962)
