Summary
A pair of Sevres style porcelain vases with covers. Mounted in chased ormolu with scroll handles on square bases and with fretted ornament beneath the lids. The porcelain is painted with figure subjects in gilt frame reserves on blue celeste ground.
Provenance
At Saltram by 1951 and accepted by HM Treasury in lieu of full payment of death duty from the Executors of Edmund Robert Parker (1877-1951), 4th Earl of Morley and transferred to NT in 1957.
