Summary
Pencil drawing with bodycolour on paper, An Unknown Gentleman Standing (possibly Isaac Ambrose Eccles [?1736 - 1809] or another member of the Eccels family), Thomas Hickey (Dublin 1741 – Madras 1824), inscribed: T. H. Conroe 16 April 1768. A full-length portrait of a man, standing but legs crossed at kness with his right elbow leaning on a pedestal carrying a satchel over his left shoulder. Isaac had two younger brothers, Hugh and William, who this may be.
