Summary
A brass lantern clock, possibly by Daniel Hoskins and dated about 1630. The rectangular body having a turned upright at each corner surmounted with a dome shaped bell screened with three coats of arms supported by lion and unicorn. "Dan'l Hoskins, London (?) Brass Lantern, 30 hour Striking and Chiming Clock. Chiming on four small bells and striking on one large bell. 16" high x 6 1/4" wide x 6" deep. Hour ring 1 1/4" wide. Centre engraved with three skeletons. Date about 1630.
