Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Sir John Trevelyan 2nd Bt (c.1670-1755) by John Vanderbank the younger (London 1694 - London 1739). A half-length portrait to left, wearing a red coat with white cravat and short full-bottomed wig, his hat under his arm. Sir John Trevelyan, 2nd Bt, of Nettlecombe was the great-grandson of John Trevelyan and Margaret Luttrell of Dunster Castle; his daughter Margaret (d. 1764) married firstly Alexander Luttrell in circa 1726.
