Summary
A grand pianoforte inscribed on the fascia Patent / Repetition Grand Pianoforte / John Broadwood & Sons / Manufacturers to Her Majesty / 33 Great Pulteney Street, Golden Square / London. No. 16491, made in 1845. The case veneered with rosewood and raised on three carved hexagonal legs. The keyboard compass CC – g4. The English grand action with repetition device. Pedal lyre with two pedals, the left for una corda / due corde and the right for dampers. Fitted music desk and hinged lid prop-stick to interior.
