Oil painting on canvas (oval), Hugh Bethell, British (English) School, manner of Hugh Douglas Hamilton RHA (Dublin 1739/40 – Dublin 1808), circa 1774. An oval half-length portrait of the (?brother-in-law of Ralph Pennyman), son of Sir James Pennyman, 3rd Bt's daughter Catherine (b. between 1694 & 1709) and R. Bethall of Rise - [so b. c. 1715/1740?] - facing slightly right, wearing a brown coat over red waistcoat.
